Our 2014 Scholarship Receipent

 Lauren Doherty, our 2014 scholarship recipient, was selected for her academic achievement, godly character, and career pursuit in aeronautics.

Raised in a Christian home, her strong family relationships fostered a learning environment that emphasized critical thinking skills, diligence, perseverance, and a focus on discovering God’s plan for her life.

Lauren’s community service projects include Samaritan’s Purse Charity, preparing Christmas gift boxes for children in need; Angel Tree Outreach Ministry, processing Christmas gifts for children of jail inmates; and “On Higher Ground” fundraising team member, raising $35,000 to build a new school in Mapou, Haiti.

Laruen maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout high school and scored 1820 on the SAT.  She was awarded Faculty Honors for Scholastic Achievement in years 2012, 2013, and 2014 from Cascadia Community College. She also participated in Bible Study Fellowship from grade 9 through grade 12. Lauren is currently a freshman student at Central Washington University.
